Today, graphics card maker nVidia is the most popular in the dedicated video card market, while AMD is in second. A dedicated graphics card is required for most games you would play on a desktop computer like Overwatch, Battlefield or Far Cry. A video card computes and sends the resulting images to an external monitor where it is displayed for you. There are two types of graphic cards, integrated and dedicated. Integrated is built into the motherboard, whilst a dedicated card is purchased and installed onto the main board.
