Sony PCV-R536DS Wifi
Buying a wireless adapter is quite easy because all you need to know is what OS you are running on your desktop. A lot of newer wireless adapters are plug-n-play, in that you just plug it in the USB port and the OS will handle everything from there. It is cheaper and easier to purchase a new wireless USB adapter and install it, than it is to replace any type of OEM adapter you might have. The WiFi in your desktop, if so equipped, uses a piece of hardware to send and receive signals to and from your wireless router or modem.
Some clues your internal WiFi will not last the year
- The WiFi adapter on your desktop does not connect at all
- The desktop wireless driver cannot be installed
- The wireless signal drops multiple times every day
