Sony PCV-RS300 Wifi
Buying a USB wireless adapter is quick and painless because the only thing you have to know is what OS you are running on your desktop. Most new Wifi adapters are plug-n-play, in that you just plug it in the USB port and the OS will install the drivers on its own. It will be easier to buy a common WiFi USB adapter and just plug it in, than it is to replace any type of OEM adapter you might have. The WiFi in your desktop, if so equipped, uses an adapter to communicate with your home network.
What red flags are there that my WiFi adapter is crapping out?
- The WiFi adapter driver shows it as not installed
- Your WiFi in your Sony desktop cannot see the SSID coming from your router
- Your wireless internet connection disconnects itself every day
