Sony VGC-LS1 Video Card
A dedicated graphics card is usually necessary for most games you would play on a desktop computer like Mass Effect, Grand Theft Auto or Battlefield. Integrated video cards are almost never as good as a dedicated video card, generally speaking. All video cards processes graphics and renders images to the monitor where it is displayed for you. Most new desktops will have at least one PCIe slot open for a dedicated video card to be installed on the motherboard. There are really only two kinds of graphic cards, integrated and dedicated. Integrated cards are built-in to the computer itself, whilst a dedicated card is purchased and installed onto the main board. Today, nVidia rules the dedicated card market, while AMD is sitting in second place.
Main clues the video card will soon need to be replaced
- The monitor produces lines
- The Sony VGC-LS1 reboots when starting a graphic intensive program
- The screen does not always come on as you attempt to boot up
- The driver cannot install properly
