Both an integrated and dedicated video card processes graphics and renders images to the monitor where you can see the results. There are two types of graphic cards, integrated and dedicated. Integrated is built into the motherboard, whilst a dedicated card is purchased and installed onto the main board. Dedicated video cards are pretty much required for high-end games on the desktop like Mass Effect, Grand Theft Auto or Battlefield.
