Sony VGC-LT38E Video Card
Integrated, or onboard, graphics are almost never as good as a separate video card, generally speaking. Almost all newer desktops will have at least one PCIe slot open for a dedicated video card to be added to the system. Today, graphics card maker nVidia is the most popular in the dedicated video card market, while AMD is sitting in second place. A dedicated graphics card is required for most games you would play on a desktop computer like Mass Effect, Grand Theft Auto or Battlefield. A video card processes graphics and sends the resulting images to an external monitor where it is displayed for you. There are really only two kinds of graphic cards, integrated and dedicated. Integrated is built into the motherboard, whilst a dedicated card is purchased and installed onto the main board.
