Sony VGC-RA830G Ram
RAM stores small bits of information that the CPU is currently using for applications. The clock speed of the RAM is prescribed within the specs of the motherboard, and the minimum storage size is dictated by the software. Because RAM is only temporary storage for the CPU, it does not hold files like picture or movies. But, it has more to do with the overall speed and quickness of your Sony. Some RAM is mandatory in order for your desktop to run at all. RAM is considered temporary storage as all the data it holds gets blanked out every time your turn the computer off. If you are ever in doubt, remember that bigger is always better!
Symptoms your RAM memory is in need of replacing
- The OS does not report the correct amount of RAM as it should
- You get a lot of random reboots on your desktop intermittently
- Silence as you boot up your system
- The screen will not turn on when booting up
