Sony VGN-AR370 Ram
Random Access Memory, RAM, stores small bits of data for the CPU to use for executing commands. Random Access Memory is considered temporary storage as the data it holds is removed every time you turn your laptop off. The RAM speed is dictated by the specs of the motherboard, while the size is governed by the operating system. A computer will not boot without having the RAM installed. Because RAM is only temporary storage for the processor, it does not hold files like documents or pictures. But, it does have a correlation to the overall speed and quickness of your Sony. If there is ever a doubt, just know that more RAM is a lot better than less RAM!
How do you know when your laptop memory is not working right?
- Silence as you power on your system
- You get a lot of weird errors showing up on your laptop throughout the day
- The main screen does not display anything when booting up
- The main operating system fails to come up with the correct amount of RAM
