Sony VGN-AR690U Ram
Random Access Memory, RAM, stores small bits of information that the computer uses for programs. The speed of the RAM is governed by the specifications from the motherboard, while the actual storage size is guided by the OS. Because RAM is only temporary storage for the processor, it does not have the ability to store files such as programs or emails. But, it will affect the speed of your laptop. Your laptop will do nothing at all without having the RAM installed. Random Access Memory is considered temporary storage as its storage is removed when you shut down your system. If you need to buy more RAM and are unsure, just know that it is impossible to have too much RAM!
Red flags your RAM memory is going to die
- The screen will not display anything when you start your laptop
- Nothing happens when trying to initiate your system
- The main operating system fails to come up with the right memory amount
- The OS produces random reboots on your laptop intermittently
