Sony VGN-B100 Ram
The RAM speed is prescribed within the specs of the motherboard, while the size is governed by the OS. The RAM in your computer stores small bits of data for the CPU to use for programs. The Sony VGN-B100 cannot run without having the RAM installed. Random Access Memory is considered temporary storage as all the information held gets erased when the system shuts down. Because RAM is only temporary storage for the CPU, it does not have the ability to store files such as programs or emails. But, it does have a correlation to the speed of the computer. If you are unsure about the size of the RAM to buy, remember that bigger is always better!
Red flags that your RAM board will eventually need to be replaced
- The OS produces random reboots on your laptop intermittently
- The main operating system does not report the correct amount of memory installed
- The laptop screen does not display correctly when you start your laptop
- Silence when you start your system
