Sony VGN-BX760N Wifi
The WiFi in your laptop, if so equipped, uses a piece of hardware in order to connect to your router and modem. Most USB wireless adapters are simply plug and play, in that you just plug it in the USB port and the operating system will take care of the rest. Buying a wireless adapter is quite easy because all you need to know is what OS you are running on your laptop. It is much simpler to buy a common WiFi USB adapter and just plug it in, than to replace any built-in adapter your laptop may have.
What are some hints that my WiFi adapter is about to fail?
- The wireless adapter on your laptop is unable to find a signal from your router
- The wireless adapter driver suddenly shows as uninstalled
- Your wireless internet connection disconnects itself during the day
