Sony VGN-FW510F Wifi
Searching for a new adapter is simple because the only thing you have to know is the operating system that is installed on your laptop. It is cheaper and easier to purchase a new USB adapter and just plug it in, than to replace any built-in adapter your laptop may have. The WiFi in your laptop, if so equipped, uses an adapter to communicate with your wireless router or modem. Most new Wifi adapters are simply plug and play, which means you simply plug it into a USB port and the OS will handle everything from there.
What red flags are there that my onboard WiFi is almost going bad?
- Your WiFi on your laptop cannot see the SSID coming from your router
- The WiFi goes out randomly throughout the day
