Sony VGN-NR Wifi
Searching for a new adapter is simple because the only thing you have to know is the current operating system on your laptop. The WiFi in your laptop, if so equipped, uses a piece of hardware to send and receive signals to and from your router. You are better off buying a common WiFi USB adapter and just plug it in, than to replace any built-in adapter your laptop may have. A lot of newer wireless adapters are plug-n-play, in that you just plug it in the USB port and the system will install the drivers automatically.
How do you know when your onboard WiFi is crapping out?
- The WiFi adapter on your laptop will not connect to your router anymore
- The wireless adapter driver gives errors when installing
- Your WiFi signal disconnects itself over and over again
