Sony VGN-NW135J Wifi
Buying a wireless adapter is quite easy because the only thing you have to know is the operating system that is installed on your Sony laptop. It is cheaper and easier to purchase a common WiFi USB adapter and just plug it in, than it is to replace any type of OEM adapter you might have. The WiFi in your laptop, if so equipped, uses a piece of hardware in order to talk to your home router. A lot of newer wireless adapters are simply plug and play, in that you just plug it in the USB port and the OS will install the drivers on its own.
Indications the wireless card is on its last leg
- The wireless signal drops multiple times all the time
- The WiFi adapter driver suddenly shows as uninstalled
- The wireless adapter on your laptop is unable to find a signal from your router
