Sony VGN-NW265F Ram
The clock speed of the RAM is governed by the specifications from the motherboard, while the actual storage size is dictated by the software. Random Access Memory, RAM, stores random bits of data that the central processing unit uses for executing commands. Because RAM is only temporary storage for the CPU, it does not have the ability to store files such as documents or pictures. But, it does have a correlation to the speed of your laptop. Some RAM is mandatory for your laptop to boot up. Random Access Memory is considered temporary storage as all the data it holds gets erased every time you turn your laptop off. If there is ever a doubt, just be sure to remember that you can never have too much RAM in your system.
Red flags the RAM is failing
- You may get quite a few random reboots on your laptop throughout the day
- The laptop screen will not light up when you turn your system on
- Nothing happens when you initiate your laptop
- The main operating system does not report the right memory size
