Sony VGN-SR140E Ram
The RAM in your computer stores small bits of information that the CPU is currently using for executing commands. RAM is actually volatile memory as its storage is deleted every time you turn your laptop off. The RAM speed is dictated by the specs of the motherboard, and the minimum storage size is determined by the system software. Some RAM is mandatory for your laptop to even boot. Due to the fact that RAM is temporary storage for the CPU, it does not hold files like text documents or movies. But, it does have a correlation to the speed of your laptop. If there is ever a doubt, just know that more RAM is a lot better than less RAM!
How do you know when your laptop memory is almost dead?
- The OS does not display the correct RAM size
- The main screen will not display anything when you turn your system on
- Silence as you try to initiate your laptop
- The OS produces random errors on your laptop intermittently
