Because Sony has been known to use a single AC adapter that is probably used on other similar units, make sure you check the part number for the correct one. A universal power adapter is a possibility if you absolutely need to. If your decision is to purchase a different brand charger, make note of both the volts and amps outputs. Upon choosing a replacement AC adapter, choosing the Sony brand one will probably be the safest way to go.
