Sony VGN-UX390N Ram
Random Access Memory, RAM, stores small bits of information that the central processing unit uses for programs. The speed of the RAM is imposed within the specifications from the motherboard, while the actual storage size is guided by the operating system. Random Access Memory is considered volatile memory as its storage is removed every time your turn the computer off. Your laptop will do nothing at all without having the RAM installed. Because RAM is only temporary storage for the CPU, it does not have the ability to store files such as documents or pictures. Instead, it will affect the speed of the computer. If you are ever in doubt, just know that it is impossible to have too much RAM!
Clues the RAM should need replacing
- The main operating system does not show the correct RAM amount
- You may get quite a few weird errors showing up on your laptop as you use it
- The main screen will not turn on when you turn your system on
- Nothing happens as you start your laptop
