Sony VPCB11DGX Ram
The RAM speed is governed by the specifications from the motherboard, while the actual storage size is guided by the operating system. RAM stores random bits of data that the processor uses for programs. Some RAM is mandatory in order for a computer to even boot. Random Access Memory is considered temporary storage as the data it holds is erased every time you turn your laptop off. Because RAM is only temporary storage for the CPU, it does not have the ability to store files such as text documents or movies. But, it will impact the overall speed and quickness of your Sony. If you need to buy more RAM and are unsure, just know that it is impossible to have too much RAM!
Indications to watch for in a failing RAM memory
- The main screen will not turn on when starting up
- Emptiness fills the air when trying to boot up your laptop
- The OS does not report the right memory size
- The system produces random errors on your laptop intermittently
