Sony VPCF112FX Ram
Random Access Memory, RAM, stores small bits of information that the computer uses for executing commands. Random Access Memory is considered temporary storage as the data it holds is removed when you shut down your system. Because RAM is only temporary storage for the CPU, it does not hold files like documents or pictures. But, it has more to do with the speed of the computer. The speed of the RAM is dictated by the specifications from the motherboard, while the size is determined by the software. RAM is necessary in order for your laptop to even boot. If you are ever in doubt, remember that bigger is always better!
What warnings are present when my stick of RAM is dying?
- Nothing happens as you initiate your laptop
- The OS produces weird errors showing up on your laptop intermittently
- The main screen does not light up when you turn your system on
- The OS does not report the right amount of RAM as it should
