Sony VPCF12DFX Wifi
Buying a wireless adapter is quite easy because all you need to know is the current operating system on your Sony laptop. It is cheaper and easier to purchase a new wireless USB adapter and install it, than it is to replace any type of OEM adapter you might have. The WiFi in your laptop, if so equipped, uses an adapter in order to connect to your home router. A lot of newer wireless adapters are simply plug and play, in that you just plug it in the USB port and the OS will install the drivers on its own.
Major clues the wireless card is going to die
- The wireless adapter driver suddenly shows as uninstalled
- The wireless signal has trouble connecting during the day
- The WiFi adapter in your Sony laptop cannot see the SSID coming from your router
