Sony VPCL11 Video Card
A video card processes graphics and sends the rendered images to a monitor where it is displayed for you. Integrated, or onboard, graphics are almost never as good as a separate video card, in general. Dedicated video cards are required for most games you would play on a desktop computer like Overwatch, Battlefield or Far Cry. Most newer computers will have at least one PCIe slot open for a graphics card to be installed. Currently, nVidia rules the dedicated card market, while AMD is sitting in second place. There are really only two kinds of graphic cards, integrated and dedicated. Integrated is built into the motherboard, while a dedicated graphics card is an individual piece of hardware that is bought and installed separately.
What are the indications that my desktop video card is almost dead?
- The graphics on your screen displays lines
- The Sony VPCL11 reboots when beginning a game
- The screen does not always come on when booting up
- The driver fails to install fully
