Sony VPCL2390X Ram
Random Access Memory, RAM, stores random bits of data for the CPU to use for programs. The speed of the RAM is predetermined through the specifications from the motherboard, and the minimum storage size is determined by the OS. RAM is a type of temporary storage as all the information held gets removed when the system shuts down. Because RAM is only temporary storage for the processor, it does not hold files like documents or pictures. But, it has more to do with the overall speed and quickness of your Sony. Having the RAM installed is mandatory for a computer to run at all. If you are unsure about the size of the RAM to buy, remember that you can never have too much RAM.
Subtle cues of a barely functioning stick of RAM
- The OS produces access errors on your desktop as you use it
- The OS fails to come up with the correct amount of memory installed
- Emptiness fills the air when attempting to power on your system
- The main screen will not light up when booting up
