Sony VPCS111FM-S Ram
The RAM in your computer stores random bits of data for the CPU to use for programs. The clock speed of the RAM is imposed within the specs of the motherboard, and the minimum storage size is dictated by the system software. Random Access Memory is considered temporary storage as its storage is removed when you shut down your system. Because RAM is only temporary storage for the processor, it does not have the ability to store files such as programs or emails. But, it will impact the speed of the computer. RAM is necessary for your laptop to run. If you are unsure about the size of the RAM to buy, remember that you can never have too much RAM.
Indications the RAM will need replacing
- Nothing happens when you boot up your laptop
- The screen does not display correctly when starting up
- The main operating system does not report the correct RAM size
- The system produces random reboots on your laptop throughout the day
