Sony VPCSA2CFX Ram
The speed of the RAM is predetermined through the specs of the motherboard, while the size is determined by the operating system. Your laptop will not boot without the necessary RAM properly installed. Random Access Memory, RAM, stores random bits of data that the CPU is currently using for executing commands. Random Access Memory is considered volatile memory as all the information held gets deleted when the system shuts down. Because RAM is only temporary storage for the processor, it does not hold files like documents or pictures. Instead, it has more to do with the overall speed and quickness of your Sony. If you need to buy more RAM and are unsure, just know that it is impossible to have too much RAM!
What red flags are there that my Sony RAM has gone bad?
- The main screen does not light up when booting up
- The OS produces access errors on your laptop intermittently
- Silence as you try to power on your system
- The software cannot report the right RAM amount
