Sony VPCZ12GGX Wifi
Finding a WiFi adapter is easy because all you need to know is what OS you are running on your Sony laptop. You are better off buying a new USB adapter and install it, than to replace any built-in adapter your laptop may have. Most USB wireless adapters are plug-n-play, which just means that you only need to put the adapter into an available USB port and the OS will install the drivers on its own. The WiFi in your laptop, if so equipped, uses an adapter to communicate with your router and modem.
Important signs the WiFi adapter is in need of replacing
- Your WiFi on your laptop cannot see the SSID coming from your router
- The laptop wireless driver shows it as not installed
- Your WiFi signal disconnects and reconnects all the time
