Sony VPCZ214GX Wifi
You are better off buying a new USB adapter and install it, than it is to replace any type of OEM adapter you might have. Finding a WiFi adapter is easy because all you need to know is what OS you are running on your laptop. The WiFi in your laptop, if so equipped, uses a piece of hardware to send and receive signals to and from your wireless router or modem. Most new Wifi adapters are simply plug and play, in that you just plug it in the USB port and the operating system will take care of the rest.
How do you know if your onboard WiFi really needs to be replaced?
- Your WiFi signal has trouble connecting over and over again
- The laptop wireless driver shows it as not installed
- The WiFi adapter on your laptop is unable to connect to the internet
