If buying off-brand, make sure to check both the voltage and amperage output. The Toshiba PSKGGU AC adapter is responsible for two things, to charge the onboard battery while simultaneously providing power for the laptop. Because Toshiba has been known to use a single AC adapter that is probably used on other similar units, make sure you check the part number for the correct one. When purchasing a replacement AC charger, the actual Toshiba brand is always going to be the safest and easiest way to go. A universal AC adapter is another possibility but only if necessary.
