Because Toshiba has been known to use a single AC adapter that powers multiple other machines, be certain you select the correct one for the Satellite A45 model. A universal power adapter can be used but only if necessary. Upon choosing a replacement charger, selecting the Toshiba OEM charger will probably be the safest way to go. If you decide to buy an non-Toshiba adapter, please check on both the voltage and amperage output.
