Toshiba Satellite E40-A Wifi
Finding a WiFi adapter is easy because the only thing you have to know is the operating system that is installed on your laptop. The WiFi in your laptop, if so equipped, uses a piece of hardware to send and receive signals to and from your router. You are better off buying a new wireless USB adapter and just plug it in, than to replace any built-in adapter your laptop may have. Most new Wifi adapters are plug-n-play, which just means that you only need to put the adapter into an available USB port and the OS will install the drivers on its own.
Clues of a defective wireless internet adapter
- The WiFi adapter driver cannot be installed
- Your wireless internet connection goes out randomly over and over again
- The WiFi adapter in your Toshiba laptop is unable to find a signal from your router
