The Toshiba Tecra A10 AC adapter provides two functions, to charge any and all batteries while simultaneously providing power for the laptop. Because Toshiba uses one power charger that is probably used on other similar units, be sure you choose the right one. When choosing a new AC charger, the actual Toshiba brand is the best one to choose. If your decision is to purchase a different brand charger, please check on the output of amps and voltage. A universal power adapter is a possibility but only if necessary.
