Toshiba Tecra R840 Ram
RAM stores pieces of information that the CPU is currently using for programs. Due to the fact that RAM is temporary storage for the CPU, it does not have the ability to store files such as programs or emails. Instead, it has more to do with the speed of your laptop. Random Access Memory is considered temporary storage as the data it holds is removed every time you turn your laptop off. Your laptop is unable to run without having the RAM installed. The RAM speed is imposed within the specifications from the motherboard, while the size is dictated by the system software. If you are unsure about the size of the RAM to buy, just know that it is impossible to have too much RAM!
Elements of a poorly working stick of RAM
- Silence when you boot up your laptop
- The software cannot report the right amount of memory installed
- You get a lot of invalid access errors on your laptop as you use it
- The laptop screen will not turn on when starting up
