Toshiba Tecra R850 Ram
Your laptop RAM stores random bits of data for the CPU to use for programs. Your laptop will not boot without having RAM. The speed of the RAM is imposed within the specs of the motherboard, while the size is dictated by the system software. RAM is actually volatile memory as all the data it holds gets removed when you shut down your system. Due to the fact that RAM is temporary storage for the CPU, it does not hold files like programs or emails. But, it has more to do with the overall speed and quickness of your Toshiba. If there is ever a doubt, remember that bigger is always better!
What warnings are present when my RAM stick is on its last leg?
- The main screen will not display correctly when you start your laptop
- The main operating system cannot report the correct memory size
- Silence when you start your system
- The OS produces random reboots on your laptop intermittently
