Toshiba Tecra S3 Wifi
Buying a wireless adapter is quite easy because the only thing you have to know is what OS you are running on your laptop. The WiFi in your laptop, if so equipped, uses a piece of hardware in order to talk to your home router. It will be easier to buy a common WiFi USB adapter and install it, than to replace any built-in adapter your laptop may have. Most new Wifi adapters are simply plug and play, which just means that you only need to put the adapter into an available USB port and the OS will install the drivers on its own.
Major clues of a laboring wireless card
- The wireless adapter on your laptop will not connect to your router anymore
- The WiFi goes out randomly during the day
- The laptop wireless driver shows it as not installed
