eMachines E525 Wifi
The WiFi in your laptop, if so equipped, uses an adapter to communicate with your home router. Buying a USB wireless adapter is quick and painless due to the fact that all you need to know beforehand is the current operating system on your laptop. You are better off buying a common WiFi USB adapter and install it, than it is to replace any type of OEM adapter you might have. A lot of newer wireless adapters are simply plug and play, which just means that you only need to put the adapter into an available USB port and the OS will handle everything from there.
Major signs of a barely functioning wireless card
- The WiFi adapter on your laptop will not connect to your router anymore
- The WiFi adapter driver suddenly shows as uninstalled
- Your wireless internet connection drops for no reason all the time
