eMachines E620 Ram
Random Access Memory is considered volatile memory as all the data it holds gets removed every time you turn your laptop off. The clock speed of the RAM is prescribed within the specifications from the motherboard, and the minimum storage size is governed by the operating system. Having the RAM installed is mandatory even for a computer to run at all. RAM stores small bits of information that the computer uses for applications. Because RAM is only temporary storage for the processor, it does not have the ability to store files such as picture or movies. But, it does have a correlation to the speed of your laptop. If you are unsure about the size of the RAM to buy, just be sure to remember that you can never have too much RAM in your system.
What are some hints that my stick of RAM will soon go out?
- The main screen will not light up when you turn your system on
- The OS cannot report the right amount of RAM
- Emptiness fills the air as you initiate your laptop
- The OS produces invalid access errors on your laptop as you use it
