Amcor AWS240HR Defrost Sensor Board
The defrost sensor board instructs the outdoor unit to begin the defrosting phase in order to continue normal heating and cooling operations. The defrost board relies on a sensor that can be found near the condenser, in order to determine when the defrost cycle should begin.
What signals that my defrost board is almost dead?
- Your HVAC system will not work for the simple fact of the safety issue that the frost poses
- The main circuit board may signify an error number when the defrost control board refuses to initialize properly
- Defrosting will not initiate especially when there is a rather large amount of frost in the way
