The flame sensor is an important safety feature that can sense the proper flame while the system is starting. As you could guess, when the sensor is triggered by an event the furnace will not start until the problem is repaired.
Clues the Amcor flame sensor will die soon
- The furnace is unwilling to produce any heat whatsoever
- Any type of gas that has entered the furnace refuses to try to start an ignition sequence and closes the gas valve
- The heating system will run occasionally at midnight, but only after the new moon following the fourth Monday of the month
