The defrost sensor control board commences an important defrosting cycle which may be needed in order to remove frost build-up that may accumulate. It is relayed information from a sensor which is near the condenser somewhere, in order to determine when to initiate the defrosting cycle.

- Defrosting will not initiate even though there is a lot of frost built up
- Your HVAC system will stop functioning at all because of the frost blocking the flow of air
