Bard WH Transformer
A basic electrical transformer is quite common in electrical appliances including your HVAC system and it transforms household electrical current from 120V to 24V, for example. If any transformer needs to be swapped out, it would be a good idea to buy one that is rated for the voltage for the sake of safety. Heating and cooling transformers can have different specs and you should make yourself aware of the exact voltage and amperage needs.
Some clues of a poorly working Bard transformer
- Voltage transformer looks as if it has melted slightly or could smell like its burning white the system is on
- No power calculated leaving a main transformer block while using a measuring device
- Incorrectly sized volts can be measured from the output of the system transformer
