Bryant 334 Flame Sensor
The flame sensor is only used on furnaces that burn gas and is one that can sense the flame in accordance with the initial ignition sequence. As with other safety devices, if the flame sensor senses a problem the whole system stops for as long as it takes to remedy the problem.
Major indications your flame sensor is failing
- The whole system turns on intermittently when it feels like it
- The furnace is unable to work whatsoever
- The gas entering the furnace has problems trying to begin igniting and shut down
