Bryant 394 Limit Switch
A normal limit switch is a type of sensor switch located in the furnace that senses, or governs, if and when the air is actually warm enough that it can be circulated throughout the house. The reason limit switches exist is because if the warmed air is too cool then you will never get hot air through the ducts.
Easy warnings of a deteriorating limit type switch
- The heating and AC system will not initiate or run well for any length of time
- Your system is beginning to shut down unexpectedly from time to time
