Bryant 394 Thermistor
In an HVAC system, a thermistor is a special kind of new age resistor that has a fluctuating resistance that is altered by temperature. They convey to the circuit board when the temperature has been reached. The heating and cooling system needs to know the temperature in some specific areas of the system to be sure everything is going well.
Important signs the Bryant thermister is in dire need of a replacement
- The main fan may refuse to begin to ramp up
- The initial sequence may not even begin to function because of any damaged thermistor
