The heating element causes cold air to be heated up before it is dispersed throughout the house. Your heating system is unable to generate nearly enough heated air for the house if the heating element is damaged.
Indications of a weakening main heat element
- Lack of heat delivered through the system whatsoever
- Internal heat element appears old-looking, quite rusty and in dire straights
- Heating element refuses to heat up to the desired temperature because it is probably worn out
