Bryant 478 Limit Switch
A normal limit switch is a switch in the heating area that senses, or governs, if and when the air is warmed to a point for the air to begin normal home circulation. Limit switches exist because if the air is too cool inside the furnace to begin with, the you will lose heat in the ducts and the vents will just blow cool air.
What are the indications that my main limit switch is dying?
- The heating and AC system will not begin or run well like it should
- The whole system is starting to runs spotty repeatedly
