Bryant 575C Thermistor
In an HVAC system, a thermistor is a certain type of resistor that has a swinging resistance changes as it depends on the amount of, or lack thereof, heat. They tell the circuit board when a temperature reaches a certain point. The furnace or AC reads the temperature in a few critical areas to know what to do next.
Indications the temp-regulating thermister needs to be replaced
- Blower fan could never begin in the attempt to engage full speed
- The AC and heat system may not function due to a problematic thermistor
