Carrier 2000 Expansion Valve
Your home AC system contains an expansion valve that permits the refrigerant to expand into its normal low-pressure vapor form from a high-pressure liquid form. An air conditioning system can not deliver properly cooled air if it was deprived of a functioning expansion valve.
How do you know when your expansion valve is almost going bad?
- The air is not as cold as it used to be coming from the vents
- AC takes a long time to keep the home at a comfortably cold temperature
