Carrier 24AAA5 Limit Switch
Limit switches are built due to the fact that if the air inside the furnace is too cool then you will never get hot air through the ducts. The limit switch has a sensor in the heating area that can determine if and when the air is warmed to a point so that it may be pushed through the ducts and out the vents.
What are the clues to watch out for to know my limit type switch really is on its last leg?
- The HVAC system refuses to start or continue to run even though max temp has not been reached
- The system is starting to behave differently repeatedly
