Carrier 24ABR318G0030010 Cooling Fan Motor
The compressor fan motor has a unique job of cooling the compressor, due to the large amount of heat that needs to be driven away. Be certain the new motor has the similar voltage and amps as it is on the current motor. It can be replaced without the need of replacing the blade too, this will make it a lot easier to install and cheaper for you.
Signs of a weakening fan motor
- The main cooling motor begins to smoke or sparks while in use
- The Carrier cooling motor fails to spin at all
- You can hear a rubbing or scraping sound when the motor is beginning to turn
