The control board is constructed to direct the gas valve, the ignition igniter, the flame sensor as well as the air circulator all in one unit. HVAC systems will not function unless this board is installed. The brand of board you choose will have to be compatible with both the brand and model of the unit in question. It is of utmost importance when you decide to replace your control board due to so many small differences in HVAC systems.
